I've been making things that go around the neck lately. It's rather strange because they take sooooo long (necks being much bigger around than wrists). Perhaps I am in a patient mood.
This one is a vintage pattern from an Anne Orr book. There are two little mistakes in there that are driving me nuts. I may end up making another one in pure white, just to correct the mistakes. I'm not sure I'll ever feel 'girlish' enough to wear this one.
Here's a little beaded and braided necklace. This one is light enough I may actually wear it.
Oh for that lovely collar, I think you should get "that girlish"! It's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour collar is gorgeous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collar, lovely pattern.

I understand your feeling about not being 'girlish' enough to wear the collar but it is such a lovely piece and deserves to be shown off to people especially after all that work
ReplyDeleteStunning collar! I know what you mean about wearing it. I made myself a collar from the Julia Sanders book in the same series, but it's a bit over the top and I've worn it very seldom.
ReplyDeleteThis collar is beautifully done, but if you don't want to wear it, it can be framed, or (my favorite idea) it can be put on a Teddy bear, adorned with Victorian accessories. It would be very admired! Please don't hide it in a drawer!
ReplyDeleteThat collar is so beautiful and was so much work, you need to find some way to show it off.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the lovely comments on the collar. I still haven't worn it, but now I'll think harder about how to make good use of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collar. Lovely tatting.
